Music fans refuse to let rain and mud spoil the Oxegen festival mood.

Torrential rain may have poured down on the 80,000 festival goers at Oxegen in Punchestown, County Kildare but nothing was going to ruin the enjoyment of the final day of music.

Oxegen 2009 has seen many big names perform on the main stage over the weekend but there are emerging bands and artists who've been getting their chance to entertain the crowds.

Some of the top acts performing at the three day festival included Blur, Kings of Leon, The Killers, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Nine Inch Nails, and Lady Gaga.

Homegrown talent performing at the festival included Dublin band The Chapters who are looking forward to their first performance later on the Hot Press New Bands Stage.

In general, spirits were good at the festival but there were over ninety arrests over the weekend.
