Barbra Streisand's first Irish concert at Castletown House in County Kildare marred by poor weather, traffic and seating problems.

Organisers of the concert have apologised to fans who experienced severe traffic delays on their way to the event. Fans travelled from near and far to see Barbra Streisand with some paying over €500 for a ticket.

While some fans were in festive mood, bad weather lead to severe delays for many concert-goers with many missing the opening numbers. Others said that they experienced problems with seating when they finally made it to the venue. According to the promoters MCD and CPI, a small number of people took seats that were not assigned to them and refused to move.

The promoters issued a statement expressing their regret that some ticket holders were unable to have "a great experience", as a result of adverse weather conditions coupled with major road works. The promoters apologised for any inconvenience and requested that people with concerns should write to MCD in Dun Laoghaire.
