Brian Kennedy sings his way to the final of the Eurovision Song Contest in Athens.
Brian Kennedy secured place in the final of the Eurovision Song Contest with his own composition 'Every Song is a Cry For Love'. The song got the votes from a Europe wide television audience and earned its place in the final being hosted by Greece in Athens.
Reflecting on the achievement, Brian Kennedy is pleased to be able to now say that he got to the final, whatever the end result.
While the Irish were celebrating, Icelandic singer Silvía Night was not impressed by the result, having failed to qualify for the final.
