Ahead of Ireland's win at Eurovision Colm Connolly reports from Oslo, Norway where Eimear Quinn will represent Ireland singing 'The Voice'.
The song sung by Eimear and composed by Brendan Graham is one of the favourites to win the contest at the Oslo Spectrum. Colm Connolly speaks to a confident Eimear Quinn, accompanied by her parents Albert and Siobhan, ahead of her performance in front of 6,000 people and 300 million viewers.
Around 650 journalists and cameramen from around Europe are in Oslo for the event. 1996 also saw the use of virtual reality on the set for the first time.
What you see at home is not what the audience in Oslo will see.
Composer Brendan Graham is also confident that Ireland will be successful.
Eimear Quinn went on to win the Eurovision Song Contest making it Ireland's seventh victory.
