Thin Lizzy play their last Irish concerts in the Royal Dublin Society (RDS) Simmonscourt Arena on 9 and 10 April before embarking on a farewell tour named after their final album 'Thunder and Lightening'.
The farewell concert is broadcast simultaneously on RTÉ 1 and RTÉ Radio 2 in stereo becoming RTÉ’s first home-produced simultaneous broadcast of a rock event.

Thin Lizzy's line-up for the farewell tour is Phil Lynott on bass guitar and vocals, Scott Gorham on guitar and backing vocals, John Sykes on guitar and backing vocals, Darren Wharton on keyboards and backing vocals and Brian Downey on drums and percussion.
