A series of concerts being recorded in a tiny west Kerry church will be broadcast on television in more than a dozen countries.

St James' Church in Dingle holds just 80 people, yet all the participating artists are waiving their appearance fees to perform there for the 10th anniversary recording of the 'Other Voices' music series.

The Coronas perform to a full house at St James' Church while the rest of Dingle are watching on a live stream in local pubs and venues.

Danny O'Reilly, lead singer of The Coronas describes playing in Dingle as a holiday. Reporter Paschal Sheehy also speaks to 'Other Voices' producer Philip King about the appeal of St James' Church as a venue for bands and musicians.

The attraction for many musicians coming to this place is that they sense something really special and something really vital that is authentic, true and real, that is inspirational for them.

An RTÉ News report broadcast on 2 December 2011. The reporter is Paschal Sheehy.
