The Dublin City Carnival brings a fairground to the middle of O'Connell Street, actors to St Stephen's Green and fun for all the family throughout the city.
For the third year in a row Dublin Corporation has held a street carnival attracting thousands of Dubliners from the suburbs to the city centre. Entertainment takes the form of music, fairground attractions, face painting, theatre and poetry. In St Stephen's Green Horizon Productions perform Shakespeare's 'Twelfth Night' and Barry McGovern and members of the Abbey Theatre recite poetry.
