Vehicles remain parked at depots as a strike leaves Dublin without a bus service.
More than 5,000 CIÉ workers at several depots refused to cross trade union picket lines in support of mechanics taking industrial action over a dispute on holiday pay. As a result, Dublin was left without bus services for the duration of the stoppage.
The city experienced widespread disruption and without public transport many commuters had to make their journeys on foot.
Further industrial action is planned in the coming weeks if the dispute is not resolved.
