A Donegal duck has made her home on board a waterbus that brings tourists on pleasure trips.

For the past three years, Billy Bustard of Island Waterbus Cruises, has been looking after a couple of ducks. The pair of mallards have been nesting close to the waterbus ticket office in Donegal harbour. This year, the female has made her home on board one of the tour boats.

Billy Bustard was having difficulty finding the nest earlier in the year only to discover the female duck, was nesting on board his boat 'Harp of Erne'. He has named the duck Flossy and she is currently nesting on ten eggs. Flossy is a very friendly duck and talks Bily Bustard most mornings. Both Billy and her partner are very protective of Flossy.

Only a select few travellers on board the boat are invited to see Flossy as Billy does not want her disturbed at this critical hatching time. Flossy does not seem to be bothered by the paasengers or the on board musical entertainment.
