Winners have been chosen by 'Anything Goes' viewers.

The winner is of course that most brilliant of bands in the world today U2 for 'The Unforgettable Fire'.

In his acceptance speech, Bono finds it odd,

At 25, to be seen by some as an established group.

He knows many new bands are coming onto the music scene, eager to take U2’s crown.

But we're not going to make it easier for them by letting go of our own music, so they’re going to have to be good over the next few years.

Bono accepts the award on behalf of those who work with the band, their road crew, and specifically, their manager, Paul McGuinness.

A very special person who means a lot to us.

Paul McGuinness comes onto the stage, where The Edge presents him with the award.

'The Anything Goes Milk Music Awards' were broadcast on 11 March 1986. The presenters are Dave Heffernan and Aonghus McAnally.
