RNLI lifeboat crews at Skerries and Clogherhead come together to raise funds for the voluntary rescue service.

The Clogherhead RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution) lifeboat the Thomas Corbett was launched for training exercises in Skerries as part of a fundraising day.

Next Sunday will see the goodwill gesture reciprocated, when a fleet of yachts from Skerries will sail to Clogherhead to take part in lifeboat fundraising activities there.

Holidaymakers in the Louth village were treated to the sight of the Clogherhead RNLI Liverpool-class lifeboat being towed ashore,

One of the few which is still launched and recovered across a beach.
