The RTÉ 'This Week' programme celebrates twenty five years of looking at events that made the news in the previous seven days.

The long running current affairs programme 'This Week' is broadcast on RTÉ Radio 1 every Sunday lunchtime.

Journalists and politicians who have contributed to the programme over the last quarter of a century gathered to celebrate.

The programme was first aired in 1968 with presenters Mike Burns and Sean Duignan at the helm. Mike Burns recalls some of the more memorable guests and interviews over the years. 'This Week' has broadcast some of the most gripping news moments of the past twenty five years including the Anglo Irish Agreement.  

Some of the country's best known print and broadcast journalists have presented, reported on and edited 'This Week'.

The present editor of the programme Sean O'Rourke describes 'This Week' as RTÉ's finest hour.
