Six One News first went on air on 3 October 1988, with newsreaders Seán Duignan and Eileen Dunne at the helm.
Since then the faces have changed, along with the studio and graphics. The Six One News continues to deliver all the latest national and international news from 6.01 to 7 pm, Monday to Friday.
