RTÉ Radio sets 2FM up for a week of broadcasting on the Aran Islands.
The makeshift Árainn Studios were broadcasting to a national audience on 2FM and to the Islands and the Connemara Gaeltacht on Árainn FM.
This island broadcasting outpost will be joined by scores of other radio stations from across Europe and the US as part of an international link up for Irish Diaspora on St. Patrick's Day.

Young people on the Aran Islands have also launched their own community radio service, Árainn FM.
