The General Assembly of the EBU (European Broadcasting Union) opens at the R.D.S. in Dublin.

The conference was held in the Royal Dublin Society (R.D.S.) in Ballsbridge, Dublin on 1 July 1966. The European Broadcasting Union was founded in 1950 and is the largest association of national broadcasters in the world.

Delegates attending the conference including the Irish Post and Telegraphs Minister Joe Brennan, Dr. C.S Andrews RTÉ Chairman, Kevin McCourt Director General of RTÉ, John Irvine and Gunnar Rugheimer.

There are also brief shots of delegates from Malta, Japan, Belgium, France, Israel, Luxembourg, and Portugal.
