DJ, broadcaster and television presenter Vincent Hanley, also known as Fab Vinny in photographs.
Tipperary born Vincent Hanley (1954-1987) began his career at RTÉ Radio Cork before moving to RTÉ Radio 1 and RTÉ Television. He went to work with RTÉ Radio Two (now 2FM) when it was set up in 1979. A talented broadcaster Vincent presented many different programmes on both television and radio.
In 1981, he left RTÉ for London where he worked at Capital Radio before making the move to New York in 1983.
It was in New York that he became a household name in Ireland producing and presenting his own 3 hour music show MT-USA from 1983 to 1987.
In 1987, at the age of 33, Vincent Hanley died.
