Gracious Living in Ireland is a business venture bringing American tourists to visit the stately homes and gardens of Ireland.
A spokesperson for 'Gracious Living in Ireland' outlines their plan.
We try to introduce visitors to the more gracious side of Irish life.
To date, the company has only promoted the tours in the USA which means visitors to date have been wealthy Americans. Many of these visitors had previously thought of Ireland as the home of racing and old ruined castles. These tours offer them the opportunity to see another side of Ireland.
Cathal O'Shannon asks the question,
Are you looking for people who are born snobs with a lot of money?
One stately home tourist has nothing but good things to say about his visit from the people, to the small towns and the food.
Generally, on the street, wherever we were we had a feeling that every Irish woman was a lady and every Irish man was a gentleman.
