Huge crowds see big victory for Bernhard Langer in the Irish Open at Portmarnock Golf Club in Dublin.

German Bernhard Langer was in a class of his own when winning the Irish Open. Finishing at 19 under par Langer was 10 shots clear of his nearest rival Sandy Lyle. Glorious weather meant an enormous Portmarnock gallery watched Langer take his second Irish Open title and the winning cheque of £37,500.
