The ROSC '80 exhibition took place in University College, Earlsfort Terrace in Dublin, featuring selections of Irish and European contemporary art.
The first ROSC exhibition was held in 1967, the second in 1971 and the third in 1977. This is the fourth exhibition and features 52 artists from 12 countries. The exhibition occupies nine large rooms and staircases in the engineering section of UCD. The exhibition was officially opened by An Taoiseach Charles Haughey.

'The Secretary' by American artist Duane Hanson is one of 150 exhibits on the display.
Artists exhibiting include Louis Le Brocquy, Robert Ballagh, Timothy Hennessey and Magdalena Abakanowicz. Timothy spoke to RTÉ reporter Dermot Keogh about the piece he has on show 'Venetian Garden'. He describes the piece as
A strange mixture of nature, the classical world and I feel a little bit of my Celtic heritage because I'm mostly Irish by blood.
