The producers of the film 'Divine Rapture' announce that they have ceased production.

The film 'Divine Rapture' was to tell the story of a series of miracles that occurred in a small country village in Ireland in the 1950s. Production began in the fishing village of Ballycotton, East Cork. The star studded cast included Marlon Brando, Johnny Depp, Debra Winger and John Hurt.

Production ground to a halt over financial difficulties after just 24 minutes of footage was shot. One of the producers Barry Navidi says CineFin in Los Angeles, who were financing the project are the cause of the problems.

We have to terminate the picture. It's a shock for all of us.

Some Ballycotton locals give their reaction to the news and loss of potential income for the region.
