Defence Forces personnel clear snow and ice from city pavements and help get Dublin moving again.
The Government Emergency Committee's decision to mobilise units of the army sees 300 soldiers deployed on the streets of Dublin city centre.
Around O'Connell Bridge, College Green and Westmorland Street the soldiers hack the compacted ice from the pavements with shovels and pick axes.
