Young boys dive into the Liffey for a cooling swim while a canoeist takes to the river during hot weather.
In Dublin city centre, intrepid boys dive from Custom House Quay to swim in the River Liffey next to the Guinness ship 'The Lady Grania'.
Watched by onlookers lining Butt Bridge another group of boys jump into the Liffey to swim under the Loopline Bridge.
With the necessary safety preparations made, a young canoeist also takes to the water.
