Gael Force a series of concerts from the Point Depot in Dublin to be broadcast across America.
The live performances are being recorded by RTÉ in conjunction with Tyrone Productions and MCD concert promoters. Gael Force will be transmitted coast to coast on the American Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) network.
The artists themselves will be household names across the Atlantic.
Producer John Masterson outlines the line up which includes Sinéad O'Connor, Sinéad Lohan, Ron Sexsmith and the Screaming Orphans, Sharon Shannon, Altan, Riverdance, Christy Moore, Mary Black, The Chieftains, Brian Kennedy and Clannad.
As a showcase, no Irish artist could ask for bigger or better.
The PBS television network has the potential reach of 97 per cent of the entire American population.
