The Off The Beat team captains are broadcaster Frank Hall and writer Hugh Leonard.
On this edition of the programme husband and wife actors David Kelly and Laurie Morton are on opposing teams. Hugh Leonard is joined by David Kelly and Joan McDonnell a housewife from Ennis. Frank Hall has actor Laurie Morton and production planner Terry Nealon from Lucan on his team.
The first challenge for the teams is to name the titles of a medley of five tunes. Using the initial letter of each song title, they must then identify a word.
Hugh Leonard's team must identify songs that make up a playwright's name. They successfully identify four of the songs and the playwright as Ibsen.
Frank Hall team are also challenged with identifying a playwright's name. They too are successful and identify Synge as the playwright and also identify four of the songs.
Music is provided by the Jim Doherty Trio with star vocalist Des Smyth.
