The popular quiz show 'Quicksilver' is back with a familiar format and even bigger prizes.

The prize fund has been doubled for the new series of Quicksilver.

The lucky contestants are drawn from the audience and the first contestant up this week is Elaine Harrington who gets off to a flying start with her first question.

Elaine goes on to win £10 in cash and £200 in prize bonds before selecting the next contestant from the audience who is John Keane.

Musical clues are provided by the musical maestro Norman Metcalf on organ.

There is also a prize for the viewers at home in the form of a secret number which corresponds to a secret number prize. The prize is £200 worth of prize bonds which could potentially lead to a prize of £50,000.
