Runners brave the elements to participate in the first Bray mini-marathon in County Wicklow.
In spite of the wind and rain, more than 480 runners take to the Wicklow Hills for the first Bray mini marathon. Organised by Bray's Boghall Community Council, the gruelling 11 mile mini marathon is to raise funds for a Christmas party for the elderly.
The first past the finishing line in 1 hour 3 seconds is Dubliner Maurice Power of Raheny Atheltic Club. Mary Hickey of St Benedict's Athletic Club Arklow is the first woman home, with a time of 1 hour 18 minutes.
