Blue skies over Bray as thousands of aviation fans gather in Wicklow for the annual air show.

Daring pilots from home and abroad took to the skies above Bray in County Wicklow today for the towns second annual airshow. Thousands of spectators turned out on the seafront to enjoy the aerobatics and some good old fashioned sunshine.

There was quite a spectacle in the skies above Bray today.

Among the planes taking part in the display were the new Aer Aran low emissions airliner and a US military Boeing C17.

For safety, the Irish navy enforced an inclusion zone under the flight path over Bray with air traffic controllers keeping a watchful eye on air traffic.

Former Red Arrow pilots 'The Blades' were the final performers in their blue planes.
