Gerry Adams launches one of the country's biggest community festivals, Féile an Phobail in Belfast.
Féile an Phobail (Festival Of The People) now in its fourteenth year, was originally devised as a means of moving away from the street violence which had previously occurred during the August anti-internment commemorations. The event was designed to channel the community's talents and energies in a completely different direction.
Gerry Adams has met plenty of Presidents and Prime Ministers in his time but this was his first ever audience with a Pharaoh.
The festival promises a week of cultural, musical and artistic events in West Belfast. Gerry Adams describes it as the biggest community festival on these islands.
