Nine brothers from West Cork Ted, Daniel, Tom, Denis, Jim, Sonny, Gerald, Noel, and John O'Leary, are reunited after fifty years.

The nine O'Leary brothers originally from West Cork are now living across three continents. It was an emotional reunion in Timoleague for the brothers who had not all been together for fifty years.

For the first time in fifty years, nine brothers of the same family were all together again.

The brothers went their separate ways in the 1930s and are now spread throughout Europe, Australia and America.

Sonny O'Leary said that when they first met up, they had difficulty recognising who was who.

The men are the sons of Margaret and Dominic O’Leary and range in age from fifty seven to seventy three. The gathering arose when Ted O’Leary retired and moved home to Timoleague and decided to arrange a big family reunion.
