Anne O'Brien is to play professional football with with French club Stade Reims.
French women's soccer club Stade de Reims has signed 17 year old Anne O'Brien from Inchicore in Dublin on a three year contract.
17 year old Anne O'Brien explains how she was spotted by the Stade de Reims team the previous August who were on a tour of Ireland. Pierre Geoffroy the Stade de Reims manager liked what he saw and asked her to join the club.
Having spent time in France over Christmas where she played a number of games for Stade Reims beating men's sides, Anne O'Brien has decided to give a professional career a go.
