Boxing promoters, Butty Sugrue from Kerry and Harold Conrad from the US plan for Muhammad Ali to fight at Croke Park in Dublin.

The exact date of Muhammad Ali's fight against Alvin 'Blue' Lewis will be announced later at Croke Park following a meeting with the GAA Director General Seán Ó Síocháin.

The idea came when the two promoters came together to raise funds for the mentally handicapped children of Ireland.

We got the greatest attraction this planet has ever known, Muhammad Ali to box a tough coloured man from Detroit Blue Lewis.

Billed as the most expensive sports event ever held in Ireland, it is hoped that they can fill Croke Park. Tickets won't be cheap starting at £1 and going up to £15.

Commenting on the fight itself, Harold Conrad says

I went to Muhammad. I said will you fight this man? He said yes, I'll fight anybody.
