Over 8,000 people audition to be extras in a new €30 million television series to be filmed in County Wicklow.
The drama series called 'Vikings' is being made for the History Channel and will star Irish actor Gabriel Byrne.

Around two thousand of the eight thousand applicants will be chosen to work on the programme. Filming is due to commence in July at the Ashford Studios in Wicklow and will continue until November.
