Shane MacGowan of The Pogues and Ronnie Drew of The Dubliners chat about their latest collaboration.

The idea for The Pogues and The Dubliners to do a song together came about at a folk festival in Vienna. Both groups realised they had a mutual appreciation for each other's music. As The Dubliners celebrate 25 years together, they decided it was a good time to release the joint single 'The Irish Rover'.

Flo McSweeney introduces The Pogues and The Dubliners and they perform 'The Irish Rover'.

Megamix was recorded in front of a live audience at Dublin's Cathedral Club in Christ Church Cathedral.

This episode of Megamix was broadcast on 6 February 1987. The presenters are Kevin Sharkey and Flo McSweeney.
