100 years after his birth a commemoration is held in Drumcliffe, County Sligo for the poet William Butler Yeats.
A simple ceremony was held at the grave of W.B. Yeats in the churchyard at Drumcliffe in County Sligo.

The Reverend Dr Moore, Bishop of Kilmore and Elphin led the ceremony which was attended by Senator Michael Yeats and Anne Yeats. Frank O'Connor spoke in Irish at the graveside.
