Family Planning Bill to be introduced allowing the sale of condoms without a prescription.

The Family Planning Bill will permit the sale of condoms without a prescription for the first time in the Republic of Ireland.

Joe O'Brien interviews Minister for Public Service, John Boland, about the new family planning bill which is to pass through the Dáil this week. Minister Boland comments that the State is obliged to legislate for all the people, and that politicians should not succumb to pressure placed on them by church figures who are opposed to the legislation. Minister Boland is confident that the bill will be passed through the Dáil by the end of the week.
