Dave Fanning plays three U2 tracks for listeners who are asked to pick the 'A' side on the band's first single. Bono talks about his hopes for the single and playing gigs around Ireland.
When U2 were about to release their first single a poll on the 'Dave Fanning Rocks' offered listeners the chance to choose the 'A' side.
Here Dave Fanning talks to Bono about the imminent release of U2's first single and what it will mean for the band.
Bono says the band could do an album tomorrow if the opportunity comes. On playing live Bono says that promoters in small towns insist that the bands have to do Status Quo cover versions. He knows and believes there is an audience in these towns for new music.
