Fancy dress for those taking part in the Athy Lions Club charity cycle in Kildare.

A cycle organised by the Athy Lions Club raises funds for local charities. Those taking part in the 20 mile sponsored cycle, assemble at Duke Street car park in Athy.

Many participants are in fancy dress or comedic outfits. As well as the expected two wheel machines there are some more unusual bicycles taking part including tricycles, tandems, and even a penny-farthing.

The cycle begins and ends in Athy taking in Tankardstown, Maganey, Castledermot and Kilkea along the way. Several prizes are up for grabs for those taking part, including a special one for the best fancy dress.
