A parade of vintage farm machinery through Templemore opens the agricultural festival.

TheTemplemore Agricultural Festival attracted large crowds with entertainment provided by the Thurles Silver Band and St James Marching Band from Killea.

The opening parade through the town brought back many a memory as the well cared for machines, some without tyres, proceeded in leisurely fashion through the field at Adamstown.

TJ Maher, member of the European Parliament, opened the festivities from the top of a vintage threshing machine.

The festival was organised in aid of the Christian Brothers Schools (CBS) building fund. Crowds were treated to a threshing demonstration.
