Katie Taylor wins a sixth European title in a row to add to a growing list of deeds and gold medals.
Katie Taylor won 6th title in a row at the European Women's Boxing Championships in Bucharest. She took the gold medal after beating French boxer Estelle Mossely in the 60kg lightweight division final.
Taylor gave height and reach advantage to her opponent but such was her speed of foot and dazzling movement that Mossely's strengths were negated to swing and miss.
Katie Taylor finished the four rounds as she started a European Champion, her sixth successive title. Speechless with emotion following the win her coach and father Pete Taylor stepped in to say how proud he was of her achievements.
Katie Taylor says the best has yet to come with the World Championships later in the year and then looking forward to the Olympics in 2016. Coach Zaur Antia praises Katie for winning all four rounds in what was a challenging fight.
This is a great end to a great week for Team Ireland at the European Boxing Championships in Bucharest.
