Back in Dublin Linda Martin expects to be busy after her second place at the Eurovision Song Contest.

Eurovision entrant Linda Martin met fans yesterday by the Grand Canal in Dublin and spent time with family and friends.

The singer represented Ireland at the Eurovision Song Content with the song 'Terminal 3' written by a former Eurovision winner Johnny Logan. The competition was broadcast to 600 million people from Théatre Municipal in Luxembourg.

Linda Martin came in second place, losing out by eight points to the Swedish entry Herreys and their song 'Diggo-Loo Diggi-Ley'.

The performance at Eurovision has been good for her, with ‘Terminal 3’ released as a single in Europe, and offers of television appearances in the immediate future,

How did she feel coming so close to first place on the night? She had no real expectations going into the contest but admits to feeling some concern that the initial high scores would not necessarily lead to victory.

I’m delighted that I came second because as I said I didn’t even expect to be placed.
