An air show organised by the Munster Aero Club takes place in Ballincollig, County Cork.

The first full scale air display under the auspices of the Munster Aero Club gets underway at at the grounds of Ballincollig military barracks in Cork.

For the first time in Munster, all four branches of amateur flying are on show; sporting power flying, gliding, parachuting and aero modelling.

Spectators are thrilled by the manoeuvres of the small planes taking part in exhibition and stunt flying as well as those in competing for the Beamish Perpetual Flying Trophy.
