Three men arrive in Beijing in time for the Olympics having cycled from Ireland.

The journey by bike from Dublin to Beijing took Paul Ryan, Mark Donlon and Conor Rowan 11 months covering 14,000 kilometres across 11 countries. The charity cycle raised money for the UCD Volunteers Overseas and the Arc Cancer Support Centre.

It was an emotional reunion with their families when the three cyclists arrived in Beijing. The trio were in time to see their good friend and double European champion athlete David Gillick compete in the 400 metres at the Olympic Games next week.

The three men are delighted to have finally completed the journey and even more delighted to be finally off their bikes.

We've come through the heat, the cold, the wind, the rain, the snow, the sleet, the desert, the mountains and now we're here.

Tens of thousands of people will travel to Beijing for the Olympic Games but none will have had a journey quite like the journey of Paul Ryan, Mark Donlon and Conor Rowan.
