Irish and international news will be presented in a new RTÉ service aimed at children and young people.
News2day will deliver Irish and international news, sport and entertainment in an accessible and child-friendly style, and will give a voice to young people.
Presented by Cathal Murray from Athlone and Ailbhe Conneely from Portumna, it promises to be,
Funky and fun.
With input from young people promising to be a central feature, there is a demand for this type of news programme for children, says editor Mary Butler,
They want to hear it in a way that's simple and not fussy.
From tomorrow News2day will be on Network 2 (RTÉ 2) every weekday at 5 o’clock.
