Dublin Corporation has launched the 'I Love Dublin' campaign to give Dubliners a sense of pride in their city.

Tree planting on O'Connell Street, illumination of the Liffey’s bridges at night, an upgrade for Smithfield and a clean up of Moore Street are some of the works Dublin Corporation have planned to improve the appearance of Dublin city centre.

Traffic will be re-routed away from Grafton Street, which from next month will become a pedestrian zone. A litter prevention campaign has also been launched.

The scheme has been initiated by Dublin City Manager Frank Feely who believes that it offers Dubliners an opportunity to

Identify more with their city.
