Sunshine, mud and fun for thousands of young people at the Witnness music festival.
Forty thousand music fans will head to Fairyhouse race course this weekend for the Witnness music festival.
5 stages, 100 bands, thousands of music fans and not a whole lot of sleep.
Festival goers were greeted by sunshine today after weeks of rain which guaranteed a muddy Glastonbury feel at Fairyhouse.
One festival goer complains that her beige high heels have been destroyed by the mud but is determined to have a good time.
While some fans came prepared with wellies, bales of hay were brought on to the site to cover the ground.
Among the musical highlights this afternoon were Sandra Bernhard, The Frames and Kosheen. Today's headline act is The Prodigy. Tomorrow sees Oasis, Gomez, Primal Scream and Morcheeba take to the stage.
