Over a thousand protestors march through Dublin city centre in protest over the war in Afghanistan.

The protestors are pictured here marching down O'Connell Street in Dublin city centre. The march began at the Garden of Remembrance and protesters made their way down O'Connell Street and on to D'Olier Street before congregating outside the GPO.

Socialist Party TD Joe Higgins accused the Government in Ireland of supporting what he termed the obscenity of the world's richest countries raining death and destruction on the poorest. The use of cluster bombs in the campaign was also condemned. Joe Higgins called on the government to withdraw its offer to the United States, of the use of Irish airports.
