Teams of farmers tested with farm tasks at Macra na Feirme festival in Ballinasloe, County Galway.
This year for the first time Macra na Feirme was involved in the Fair Week at Ballinasloe. As part of the festivities, Macra na Feirme staged many events in the showground attracting large crowds.
Some of the big attractions included a dog show and demonstration by Guide Dogs for the Blind as well as an army display of gymnastics were among the events taking place as part of the Macra na Feirme Festival.
A highlight of the activities was the County Galway final of the Macra na Feirme farm tasks competition.
One of the highlights of the eight day fair was the County Galway final of the Macra na Feirme Tasks Competition where competitors display their ability at a variety of skills including the laying of an electric fence and tractor balancing. The winners were the Duniry A Team.
