Relief for students on the release of Leaving Certificate results following a delay of several weeks.
The long wait is over for those who sat their Leaving Certificate in June, made even longer due to industrial action at the Department of Education examination offices in Athlone.
The relief was palpable among all students in this Dublin school who spoke to RTÉ News, and most are content with the grades they received,
I got five Cs and I did 5 honours, I'm as happy as I can ever be.
However the civil servants’ dispute has made this quite an anxious time according to one young man,
I don't think it was very fair on people who were waiting to get into university, and some of us waiting for jobs.
One young woman who is in receipt of ample points is now in the fortunate position of being able to chose her preferred university course,
Either teaching or accountancy.
