Fourteen years following the death of Elvis Presley fans say that he is still the king.
Members of the Irish Elvis Presley Fan Club gathered at the Clarence Hotel in Dublin to celebrate the life and music of the man they call 'The King'.
Dubliner and Elvis impersonator Pat Cullen is warms up backstage ahead of his performance in front of several hundred fans who have turned up to celebrate the man who they still consider to be The King.
Fans say Elvis is still the King and has a big influence on their lives.
Elvis fan, Christine Travers, says that if she hears an Elvis song she is stopped in her tracks. If it’s a slow song, she dances along with a sweeping brush. Christine, who was a rock ‘n’ roller when she was younger wants Elvis played at her funeral.
The celebrations included a performance from Elvis look alike Frank Chisholm.
A large selection of Elvis records, videos, compact discs, books, magazines and memorabilia were also on display and on sale at the event.
Elvis Presley died on 16 August 1977.
