Friends and supporters in Belfast celebrate the release of Brian Keenan from captivity in Lebanon.
The celebrations were tinged with emotion in Belfast last night, when close friends and supporters of Brian Keenan gathered in a house in Stranmillis to watch the television pictures of his release and toast his freedom.
For them it is the end of a four and a half year long campaign, but also the beginning of another, as they know there is a long road ahead to help Brian Keenan to adjust to daily life. As friend Terri Hooley puts it,
Brian will have to be treated with a lot of care and attention.
